Les adoucisseurs d&rsquo;eau sont r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s automatiquement avec du sel (NaCl) selon trois modes: chronom\u00e9trique, volum\u00e9trique ou DUPLEX. Les adoucisseurs industriels sont recommand\u00e9s pour les installations \u00e0 d\u00e9bit important, avec des applications diverses dans des domaines tels que les h\u00f4tels, les industries et le secteur m\u00e9dical (h\u00f4pitaux, cliniques, etc.). L&rsquo;adoucissement d&rsquo;eau commercial est recommand\u00e9 pour maintenir le rendement des \u00e9quipements tels que les chaudi\u00e8res, les \u00e9changeurs \u00e0 plaques, les osmoseurs ,cuisines (four et lave-vaisselle), les \u00e9quipements de st\u00e9rilisation et les appareils sanitaires. Deux types principaux existent : Filtration sur lit filtrant : L\u2019eau traverse plusieurs couches de sable, charbon actif ou autres m\u00e9dias (birm, dolomite, dioxyde de mangan\u00e8se, calcite\u2026). Elle retient les particules et corrige parfois le pH. La r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration se fait g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement par contre-lavage \u00e0 l\u2019eau. Filtration \u00e0 cartouche : Elle emprisonne m\u00e9caniquement les mati\u00e8res solides dans un mat\u00e9riau filtrant. Les cartouches et carters sont choisis selon le d\u00e9bit et la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau \u00e0 traiter. Les avantages des syst\u00e8mes membranaires par rapport aux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s conventionnels utilis\u00e9s dans le domaine du traitement et du dessalement de l&rsquo;eau sont nombreux : une installation, une exploitation et un entretien faciles, une utilisation tr\u00e8s optimis\u00e9e de produits chimiques, un fonctionnement \u00e0 faible temp\u00e9rature, une consommation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique relativement faible en comparaison avec certains proc\u00e9d\u00e9s conventionnels tels que la distillation, un encombrement r\u00e9duit et une extensibilit\u00e9 facile. Les membranes sont largement utilis\u00e9es pour le traitement des eaux souterraines,des eaux de surface et de l&rsquo;eau de mer, et peuvent \u00e9liminer la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des \u00e9l\u00e9ments ayant une taille allant de 0,0001 \u00e0 0,1 um. En fonction de la taille des particules traversant la membrane, il existe quatre modes de s\u00e9paration : la microfiltration, l&rsquo;ultrafiltration, la nanofiltration et l&rsquo;osmose
